Ashton-under-Lyne and District Walking Club is looking for new members to join them on easy, moderate and strenuous walks across Tameside’s beautiful countryside.
Founded in 1931, the group cater for all ages and offer a variety of walks to suit individual needs.
Over the years it has grown to a membership of around 100, inviting people to meet like-minded individuals and experience the beautiful countryside.
For those wanting to take their first steps into walking, the ‘Strollers’ session covers 2-4 miles and takes place every fortnight.
Weekend walkers can join them on Saturdays for 5–7-mile walks and those looking for longer ramblers can join on a Tuesday for 9 mile distances.
More details can be found on their website here, where a full list of contact details can be found for each walk leader.
