Tameside triathlete grabs second place in World Championship Series

Tameside Triathlete Georgia Taylor-Brown has once again impressed the nation as she takes home silver in the World Triathlon Championship Series.

Following her Olympic success in Tokyo earlier this year, all eyes were on local athlete Georgia as she headed to compete in Abu Dhabi.

This event gathers the very best in the sport, including Olympic, World and European champions.

For the second meeting of the season, the series headed to Abu Dhabi where the top women went head-to-head at Yas Island.

Team GB pulled out all the stops during this competition, with incredible performances from Jess Learmonth and Sophie Coldwell, taking fourth and third place.

Despite the tough challenge in front of her, Georgia powered through and ended with an outstanding second place just behind World and Olympic champion Flora Duffy.

This series has been just one of Georgia’s success stories this year and the Tameside athlete has certainly made an impression this year.
