Tameside fall to defeat but Oldham top the table

Tameside Netball Club’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end at Turnford on Sunday.

The Premier One squad were beaten 59-44 at Wodson Park and will now be hoping to put things right against Academy at Manchester Metropolitan University this weekend.

Academy are currently fourth in the table – one place below Tameside – having won two and lost one of their opening three fixtures.

Elsewhere, Oldham top the table after winning their opening three fixtures. Pam Hazelton’s squad were put to the test by Hucclecote on Sunday but came out victorious with a 58-51 win.

Oldham will be looking to preserve their unbeaten start to the season when they journey to Weston Park Blades on Sunday.
