Tameside clubs discover their FA Cup fate

All four Tameside clubs left in this year's FA Cup have been awarded with home ties in the upcoming Second Qualifying Round.

After Saturday's First Qualifying Round win at Workington, Stalybridge Celtic will welcome National North side Chester to Bower Fold, while Ashton United will also host National League North opposition in Scarborough Athletic, after overcoming Hallam on Wednesday at the second attempt.

Elsewhere, Hyde United- who also progressed via a replay at Prescot Cables - will entertain fellow NPL Premier side Whitby Town, while Curzon Ashton, who enter the competition at this stage, face another NPL Premier side in Hebburn Town.

All ties are set to take place on the weekend of September 13.
