Stalybridge defender joins Glossop on loan

Stalybridge Celtic defender Jack O'Leary has signed for Glossop North End on a month-long loan.

The 21-year-old has made nine appearances this season for the BetVictor Premier Division outfit, including in their most recent outing - Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat by Vauxhall Motors in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

He will be hoping to get more game time at the Amdec Forklift Stadium, where he will work under joint-managers Pete Band and Lloyd Morrison.

O'Leary is no stranger to the BetVictor South East Division side, having played for the Hillmen during the 2018/19 campaign.

A Celtic statement said: "Jack O’Leary has left Celtic to join Glossop North End on a months loan under a gentlemen’s agreement. The club would like to wish Jack all the best during his time with The Hillmen."

O'Leary will bolster Glossop's defensive ranks ahead of their tough clash against third-placed Cleethorpes Town at home on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).
