Stalybridge appeal to their fans to maintain stadium safety

Stalybridge Celtic have appealed to their fans to avoid bringing dangerous pyrotechnic devices into the games.

Possession of a flare, smoke bomb or any other pyro device is a criminal offence under the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985.

The club released a statement where they stated their plans to adhere to the new FA policies and keep the fans in stadiums safe.

The statement said: “Supporters can be prosecuted in court and then given a football banning order if found guilty.”

Stalybridge are set to travel to Widnes tonight before welcoming Avro to Bower Fold on Saturday, where they will be looking to bring this new policy into practice.
