Spencer signs until 2027

Curzon Ashton have announced that forward Jimmy Spencer has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2027.

The 33-year-old, who joined the club from Farsley Celtic in 2023, was integral to last season’s record-breaking campaign in which the club finished in the National League North play-offs for the first time in their history.

The number 9 has continued his superb form into this season, scoring three goals in his last four league games, including a crucial goal in a 3-0 win over Chorley which helped the club leapfrog their title rivals and go top of the table.

Speaking on Spencer’s renewal, Curzon Ashton assistant manager Mark Bradshaw said:

“Jimmy has been instrumental in the position we find ourselves in, his influence in the dressing room, on the training pitch, and match days is a huge part of who we are as a team.”
