Curzon Ashton have confirmed midfielder Isaac Sinclair has joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old – who is the son of former Manchester City and England forward, Trevor – has been one of the National League North’s stand out players over the past two seasons, contributing to back-to-back record-breaking campaigns for The Nash.

Sinclair was a key member of the 2023/24 squad which reached the play-offs for the first time in the club’s history, before going onto break the club’s record points tally in the following season, picking up the Player’s Player of the Season award in the process.

The industrious box-to-box midfielder becomes the second player to make the switch to the Wham Stadium this year following Devon Matthews’ move back in January.

Following his signing, Sinclair told his new club:

"It's great to have signed, I have had a look around Accrington Stanley previously, it's a nice ground and I am looking forward to getting going.

"I have worked so hard to get here, it's always been what I have wanted to do, to play football in a full-time environment and doing what I love.

"It's great to be back with Devon (Matthews) - we got on well and now I am looking forward to playing and training, and hopefully it will help me settle in easily."
