Right Said Fred: Talking Betting With Betfred Boss Fred Done

Cheltenham can't come soon enough for me! It's not just the fact it is the greatest sporting festival in the world but will help me forget that despicable performance by United in the Manchester derby.

We basically need a total rebuild, and at least half the team are looking over their shoulders about whether they’ll be shipped out.

Betfred have the Reds evens to bounce back and win probably because we're at home. We are not going to achieve a top-four finish, which will drastically affect our chances of bringing in top level reinforcements in the summer. And you can forget any chance of us winning the Champions League with us drifting out to 20/1.

Enough of this gloom. Bring on Cheltenham!  I can’t wait for that opening day roar which will be music to my ears after last year’s Festival had no spectators thanks to Covid.

What fascinates me most is the sub plots like the battle between us bookies and the punters and the competition between the Irish and British owners not to mention which jockey will reign supreme come Friday.
