Richardson is Mossley’s Player of the Month

Ben Richardson has been voted Mossley AFC’s star man for August.

The versatile 30-year-old played every minute of the Lilywhites’ five games in August in all competitions.

The award is a reflection of his impressive form during a run in which the team lost just once.

Club secretary John Wharmby presented Richardson with a pack of beer courtesy of club sponsors Bowland Brewery before Tuesday’s FA Cup preliminary-round replay against Widnes at Seel Park.

Richardson is in the starting line-up once again for the Lilywhites.
