PREVIEW: Avro FC v Burscough

Avro FC are looking for their first home win of the season tonight (Wednesday) against Burscough.

The Oldham-based side lost their opening four league games of the season in the North West Counties Premier Division, since being promoted from the First Division North last term.

But they recorded their first win of the campaign last time out, beating Charnock Richard 3-1 away from home.

Avro currently sit second from bottom in the table, level on three points with bottom-club Litherland REMYCA.

The visitors from Ormskirk are just four places and two points better off, so a win for either side would be crucial towards the foot of the division.

Burscough's form has been mixed, with one win, two draws and two defeats from their five league outings thus far.

The game was originally due to be played on Saturday 24 August but was postponed.

Kick-off at the Vestacare Stadium will be at 8pm.

Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions while Under-16s get in free.
