North Road To Host Special T20 Fixture On Sunday

Lee Shufflebotham, Chairman of Glossop Cricket & Bowling Club, would like to invite Glossop CC’s members, sponsors and supporters – as well as the wider local cricketing community – to North Road for Chairman’s Keg Day on Sunday 14th August.

The day’s celebrations will begin at 11am with an Under 9s tournament featuring a number of junior teams from the local area.

Following the conclusion of those matches, the Club will proudly be unveiling the brand-new Rogers Mays Scoreboard, with the electronic scoreboard set to be used for the very first time later that afternoon for the day’s showpiece event.

This sees a Glossop CC XI take on a strong Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League XI in an exciting T20 clash, with the fixture scheduled for a 1pm start.

In addition to the cricket on show there will be music and a bouncy castle, as well as the bar being open – there’s even the chance of free beer! – and a BBQ in operation throughout the day.

We look forward to seeing you at North Road for what promises to be a brilliant day of fundraising, cricket and networking with local clubs, players and spectators. Everyone is welcome and the weather looks like it should be perfect.

GCC XI: TBC

DCCL XI: Ryan Nixon, Erich van Molendorff, Tom Forder, Rob Adderley, Tom Scott, Joe Hall, Smit Mehta, Jamie Kay, James Lythgoe, Orson Cummings, Joel Ankers
