New Mills advance through to the Fourth Round of the Derbyshire Senior Cup

New Mills beat Ilkeston Town to reach the Derbyshire Senior Cup Fourth Round.

New Mills recorded a superb 2-1 win away against higher ranked Ilkeston Town as they progressed through to the Fourth Round of the Derbyshire Senior Cup.

Darren McKnight scored a superb second-half free-kick while Nathan Webb's 90th minute strike gave The Millers some breathing room for the last few minutes.

There was to be a few nervy moments however as Ilkeston pulled a goal-back in stoppage time through Alex Marshall but New Mills stood firm.

The Millers are are currently second bottom of the North West Counties First Division South and have only recorded one league win in 13 games so far this season.

New Mills' win is even more impressive considering Ilkeston compete two divisions higher in the BetVictor South East Division and are currently flying high in third place, having only lost one home game all season.
