New date for New Mills' semi-final clash

New Mills AFC have confirmed when their rearranged Derbyshire Senior Challenge Cup semi-final match against Belper Town will be played - and it's set to be at a new venue.

After the fixture has already been postponed twice, the Millers will hope it is a case of third time lucky now it has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, March 3, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

The last-four tie was due to take place on Tuesday this week at Church Lane but it was beaten by the weather, following heavy rainfall in the High Peak in the last few days.

As a result, the match now switches to be played at the Raygar Stadium - home of Belper.

However, the Nailers are due to host Chasetown on Saturday and, after that, further discussions will take place between the two clubs and Derbyshire FA.

The game could yet be played on the artificial surface at Buxton's Silverlands Stadium if required.

New Mills say more details will be provided once available.
