Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signing of tricky winger Obua Mugalula, who makes the switch to Bower Fold following his departure from Tameside neighbours Mossley.
The Ugandan-born speedster – who netted 18 goals across his 89 appearances for the Lilywhites – brought the curtain down on his Seel Park stay earlier this summer.
Mugalula is no stranger to the Celtic faithful, having spent a brief spell with the club in the 2023/24 campaign, where he made 31 appearances under then manager James Kinsey.
“I’m excited to be returning to Stalybridge,” said the 26-year-old following his signing.
“I’ve always appreciated the fans and the passion they have for the Club, and I’m looking forward to next season and fighting for promotion.”
He links up with fellow returnee Lewis Rawsthorn, whose re-signing was sealed last week.
Elsewhere, Jon Macken’s side have also confirmed shotstopper Charlie Monks will remain at the club for the upcoming 2026/27 campaign, along with experienced right-back Mike Koral.
