Mossley strengthen their midfield with another signing

Mossley AFC have added midfielder Kane Hickman to their squad as new manager David Fish continues to gear up for the forthcoming BetVictor North West Division campaign.

The 23-year-old has featured in both of the Lilywhites' two pre-season friendlies behind closed doors so far - their 2-1 defeat at Stalybridge Celtic and 5-2 win over Silsden AFC.

He knows the Northern Premier League and local area well, having represented both Droylsden FC and Glossop North End in the last two seasons.

Hickman follows experienced non-league striker Harry Pratt and young left-back Charley Leech in joining the Lilywhites in recent days.

Speaking to Mossley's website, manager Fish commented: "Kane brings experience of playing in the league and has slotted into the squad very well.

"He is a different type of midfielder to those we already have in the squad; his addition increases competition and allows us to be more flexible in how we set up.

"I’m pleased to have him onboard and look forward to seeing him at Seel Park in front of the fans in the near future."

Hickman could make his debut when Mossley travel to Campion AFC in their next pre-season outing on Saturday (22 August), with kick-off at 2.30pm.
