Marsden leaves Mossley

Mossley have announced the departure of midfielder Bailey Marsden, who has joined National League North side King’s Lynn Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old joined The Lilywhites back in August 2021 and made 100 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals in the process.

Marsden ended his Mossley career in style, marking his century with a man-of-the-match performance in a 2-1 at Nantwich Town earlier this month.

The move will see the former Crewe Alexandra man take the plunge back into full-time football, where he will link up with former Curzon Ashton boss Adam Lakeland.

In his farewell interview, Marsden told the club’s YouTube channel:

“I can’t thank the club enough for what they’ve done for me, and I’ve loved every minute of my time here.

“I’ve created some amazing memories, and I couldn’t have asked for a better club to start my non-league career at.

“But I’ve always wanted to go back into the full-time game, and for me it’s the right move at the right time.”

“I’m delighted for Bailey- this is a deserved reward for his hard work and dedication,” said Lilywhites boss David Fish- who is also set to depart at the end of the season.

“To come back from a serious injury as a better and stronger player is testament to his maturity and attitude.

“This is the next step in what will be a successful career.”
