Local football club secures vital sponsorship

Local football club Glossop North End Community Club have recently secured vital sponsorship from McDonalds.

McDonald’s Franchisee, Stuart Broadbelt, who owns and operates five restaurants in Derbyshire and South East Manchester, is proud to be the brand-new sponsor of the under-seven youth team for Glossop Community Sports Hub.

The sponsorship will help support the youth team by funding new kits and training equipment for the current 24/25 season and second half of the season.

The McDonald’s restaurant in Glossop celebrated the new partnership by inviting the East Manchester Junior Football League team down to their local restaurant at Wren Nest Retail Park, for the team to meet their sponsors.

Stuart Broadbent, McDonald’s Glossop Franchisee, said: “It is great to be supporting grassroots football in our
community. We have been impressed by the club, its community ethos and the role it plays for girls, boys, men and women in the Glossopdale
community, which we want to be an integral part of. It is great to see local clubs visiting and we have players also working in our store. We are proud to be supporting the new under 7s with kits and it was great to have the teams and coaches all visit recently!”

Ben Mills, Football Development Officer, said: “It has been fantastic meeting Store Manager Matt and Franchisee, Stuart, since they opened their new restaurant. We have received fantastic support from McDonald’s over the years and it is great to see this continue with their sponsorship
of the club. They are helping provide opportunities for young people in the town just as we are with our football provision, and we are very grateful for their support”.
