Lilywhites make new signing

Seel Park, Mossley AFC

Mossley have recently announced the signing of Ben Darby, who joins up with his new teammates ahead of this weekend’s trip to Vauxhall Motors.

The midfielder has an impressive footballing CV already having started off at Halifax FC for his scholarship. Whilst with ‘the Shaymen’, he captained the youth side that went on to win the National League Youth Cup.

Ben then moved to Stockport County where he also captained their youth team and B team.

The highly-rated midfielder has also had spells with Alsager, Stockport Town and Glossop North End before becoming a Lilywhite.

On capturing his man, David Fish said, “We’ve been looking to get the right balance in the squad and Ben helps with that, he’s a technically strong footballer who is also good out of possession and will add a different dynamic and different options to our midfield.

“He also has great leadership qualities for someone so young and already had a lot of experience including 20 games for Glossop this season.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him pull on a Mossley shirt.”
