Lilywhites land cool finisher

Following the conclusion of the 25/26 campaign, Mossley have moved quickly to secure the signature of talented striker Charlie Frost.

The forward joined fellow Tameside club Hyde United last summer after a stellar season with North West Counties side Nelson, where he netted 34 goals.

Frost also has NPL West experience, having spent the second half of last season with Trafford, managing to shine despite their relegation with 10 goals in 13 appearances.

Following his signing, the Rochdale-based marksman commented:

“I’m buzzing to be here.

“I think we can do something this year, and hopefully I can play a part in that by scoring some goals.”

Lilywhites boss Alex Craddock added:

“Charlie is a player I’ve had my eye on for a good 12 months now.

“We tried to make it happen last summer, but it didn’t happen.

“But things have aligned now, and I’m really happy that we’ve managed to get it over the line.

“He’s proved himself to be a goalscorer at this level, and that’s what we need.

“There’s no two ways around it, we didn’t score enough last season, and we’ve addressed that by signing Charlie.”

Elsewhere, wide duo Obua Mugalula and Gee Baltazar have both decided to depart the club.

The pair made a combined total of 163 appearances for The Lilywhites, both becoming fan favourites during their time at Seel Park.
