Lilywhites bolster attack

Mossley have bolstered their attacking options with the arrival of talented forward Connor Hughes.

The striker – who has an abundance of NPL experience – joins the Lilywhites following his departure from NWCFL First Division North side Daisy Hill.

Mossley will be the fifth Tameside based club Hughes has represented, having previously spent time with Hyde United, Curzon Ashton, Ashton United and most recently Stalybridge Celtic.

The 32-year-old's last full season in the NPL West saw him notch 15 times for Witton Albion in the 2023/24 campaign, and the former Oldham Athletic man will be hoping to hit similar heights at Seel Park.

Following his signing, Hughes told the club:

“I’m really looking forward to getting started at Mossley, it’s a club that have shown interest in me for a number of years and I’m buzzing to finally be here and help the team with goals, leadership and experience.

“Having trained last night, it’s clear we’ve got a good young group and a quality young manager and coaching team.”

The Bolton born forward will hope to be in Alex Craddock’s squad for this weekend’s trip to Sporting Khalsa.
