Holmes to add firepower to Hyde's attack

Hyde United manager Nick Spooner has bolstered his striking options by bringing in forward Brad Holmes on loan from Marine.

The 22-year-old joined the Mariners back in August and has made 19 appearances so far this season, scoring twice.

This will be Holmes’ second stint with the Tigers, after playing three times for the club during the 2022/23 season.

Speaking after his arrival, Spooner said:

“Brad is a player we know well- he first came into us as a kid from Blackpool when we first got the job and was a bit raw, but he has lots of experience at this level and the one above and we feel he can compliment Ewan (Bange) and allow us to try something different.”

Hyde have also extended forward Ewan Bange’s loan from Radcliffe FC for another three months.

Since joining back in October, Bange has scored four goals in 14 appearances for the Tigers.

“Ewan was an easy decision to extend,” said Spooner

“He has done really well for us so far, and Radcliffe and they are happy with how it’s going, but most importantly Ewan wants to stay.”
