Goalkeeper Greg Hall leaves Stalybridge Celtic

Experienced goalkeeper Greg Hall has announced his time at Stalybridge Celtic has come to an end.

The 37-year-old made 40 appearances for the club since joining from Witton Albion last year, but says it is time for a new challenge.

Glossop North End fans will remember Greg fondly, as he made over 100 appearances for the club, including playing in the FA Vase Final at Wembley, where he was managed by current Celtic boss, Chris Willcock.

The experienced shot-stopper also had a short spell at Ashton United back in 2016, joining the club on loan.

Greg thanked the fans of Stalybridge Celtic for their terrific support over the past year, and wrote a message to the fans via Twitter,

‘With a heavy heart I write this message to the fans of Stalybridge Celtic but my time at the club has come to an end. They are a very good set of people with huge hearts. I won’t ever forget you. Onwards and upwards can’t wait to see where the future takes me’.
