Glossop gymnasts back in action once again

Glossop Gymnastics Club re-located at the beginning of this year to Glossop Brook Business Park on Surrey Street.

Then three months later the world-wide coronavirus pandemic arrived and the government lockdown began.

Head coach Ann Tracey said: “Due to Covid we had to close on March 20.

“After being given the go-ahead to reopen, from both the Government and British Gymnastics, we opened our doors again on July 25.

“We are on a restricted timetable at the moment, so parent and toddler drop-in ‘Gym Fun’ sessions and ‘Fundamentals’ for pre-schoolers have not resumed yet.

“All other classes for beginners, intermediate, mini elite and elite sessions are all back up and running and adult  sessions are to resume in a few weeks.”

Ann added: “When we resume the Fundamentals sessions we will have lots of available spaces for three to four-year-olds on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday afternoons, due to existing members starting school and moving to beginners’ classes.”

Glossop Gymnastics Club would like to thank all its members for their continued support over the last four months and say: “It’s great to be welcoming everyone back.”
