Glossop fight back to earn valuable victory

BetVictor South East: Stocksbridge Park Steels 1-2 Glossop North End

Glossop North End fought from a goal behind to earn a 2-1 victory at Stocksbridge Park Steels on the opening day of 2020.

Josh Nodder put the hosts ahead in the 11th minute, but Glossop responded well and levelled matters in the 37th minute through Mohammed Sheriff.

The Hillmen, who entered the game having suffered back-to-back defeats, grabbed the winning goal in the 80th minute through Braulio Maieco. 

Following the game, joint-manager Peter band tweeted the following:

 

Glossop return to action this weekend with a home game against Newcastle Town, who are currently two points above the relegation zone.
