George West likely to miss the remainder of the season for Droylsden FC

Droylsden have announced that they will likely be without their Captain George West for the remainder of the season.

In a recent medical assessment, it was found that he has Myocarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart muscle (the myocardium).

George has been integral for the Bloods this season, scoring 29 goals in all competitions including three hattricks. Not only that but he’s also led by example on and off the pitch, playing almost every game and even attending training sessions for Droylsden’s youth teams.

His absence will be a huge loss for Droylsden, who currently find themselves four points outside the playoff places. The club has said he will attend as many games as possible during his recovery and hopefully, he can make a speedy return to action.
