Droylsden face tough trip

Droylsden face an away trip this weekend as they travel to Tadcaster Albion who represents a tough task of Dave Pace’s men.

Droylsden have endured a tricky run of form after initially starting the season well rising to high as 3rd in the table. However, after a poor run, they find themselves in 10th place although they are just three points off the play-off places. Droylsden come into the game on the back of a brilliant 3-1 win at home to Pickering Town which no doubt was a welcome result for the Bloods who hadn’t won since the 10th December in the league before last weeks win.

Tadcaster have been in good form so far this season after initially losing ground to Workington at the top of the table due to cup involvements and dropped points. However, they have cut the gap at the top to just four points and they will be desperate to carry on winning games as they have three games in hand on Workington so at the moment it’s in their own hands. Their last fixture was a disappointing 2-2 draw away at Marske United in a game that frustrated the promotion-chasing side.

Droylsden will have to watch out for Tadcaster top scorer Jacob Day who has been in fine form for the club having scored five goals already in the league this season.

A win for Droylsden could see the Bloods move up to third in the table but a loss could see Pace’s side slip down to 12th.
