Diskin names squad for Bulls clash

Here is Matt Diskin's Oldham squad for the game against Bradford Bulls.

Matt Diskin's 21-man squad for Sunday's big game against Bradford Bulls at Bower Fold, Stalybridge includes this week's two new recruits, Ryan Ince (month's loan) and Lee Kershaw (dual reg) plus three more young players on loan or dual reg who were unavailable last week, Jimmy Beckett, Titus Gwaze and Jack Croft.

Wingers Ince and Kershaw are with us from Leigh Centurions and Wakefield Trinity respectively.

Also from Trinity, with whom we have a dual-reg agreement, are prop Gwaze and 18-year-old centre Croft, while Beckett, another prop, is from Featherstone Rovers.

Gwaze and Beckett. like Kershaw, are no strangers to Roughyeds fans, having been with us previously. Indeed, Beckett hit the headlines at the end of last season when he scored the decisive, match-winning try in the Promotion Final against Newcastle Thunder.

Teenage centre Croft, described by Matt Diskin as "big and athletic", played for us for the first time in the win at Whitehaven, but he is still awaiting his home debut in front of the Roughyeds' faithful.

Dave Hewitt, meanwhile, is one game short of his 100th appearance for Oldham, which he will hope to reach tomorrow.

Tackling-machine Liam Bent is out with a knee injury, but two other forwards who also had injury concerns last time out, Ben Davies and Matthew Fletcher, are included.
