Dimaio recalled by Stockport

Curzon Ashton winger Connor Dimaio has been recalled by parent club Stockport County.

The 22-year-old initally joined the Nash on loan in November and scored the winning goal on his debut against York City. He followed that up with another against Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Trophy.

Connor re-joined the Nash for another one-month loan in December. He has since scored one goal for Curzon in the 2-1 defeat at Blyth Spartans on Saturday, January 11.

Curzon announced that they had extended Connor's loan on January 31, but the winger was subsequently recalled by Stockport four days later.

Hatters boss Jim Gannon made the following comment on Stockport's website: “Elliot has been training and playing with a minor ankle injury, but we feel that we may need to conservatively manage the issue so as to ensure we see the best of Elliot and allow him to return to full fitness. We are delighted to welcome back Connor who has done everything required to be at the point to show his ability and play well for us.”
