Denton dancers jet off to Spain

A Tameside dance school are set to represent their country on a world stage.

40 dancers from Denton based AJ Studios will travel to Spain next week for the upcoming Dance World Cup in Burgos.

The club had not one, but three teams qualify for the prestigious tournament, placing 1st, 2nd and 5th in the country in the process.

The tournament, which runs from July 3-12, sees over 8500 dancers from 51 countries compete for the ultimate prize.

Ahead of the trip, club founder Alana Warren commented:

“We are absolutely bursting with pride.

“This is a testament to the hard work, talent and commitment of both our students and teachers.

“We’d also like to say a big thank you to all of our sponsors, who have supported our teams throughout our journey.”
