Curzon to host Cleethorpes Town in FA Cup

Curzon Ashton will continue their FA Cup journey on Saturday, October 2 with a home clash against Cleethorpes Town in the third qualifying round.

Steve Cunningham's side secured their place in this stage of the competition after a 4-0 win over Stockton Town on Saturday.

The comfortable victory came courtesy of goals from Alex Curran, a Jack Mckay double, and Adam Thomas.

The victory, combined with Mossley's exit at the hands of Radcliffe, means Curzon are now the only side from Tameside to remain in the competition.

Highlights can be found below, courtesy of the Nash TV.

Cleethorpes are currently 12th in the NPL East Division, having won three, drawn one and lost two.

The Owls booked their place in this stage of the competition after pulling off a shock 1-0 victory over Alfreton Town on Saturday.

The winner of the third qualifying round tie will receive £5,625 in prize money.
