Curzon to face Barnet or Aveley in FA Cup first round

Following their triumph in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round, Curzon Ashton have been rewarded with another home tie in the first-round proper, they will take on Barnet or Aveley on the weekend of Saturday 4 November.

The Nash defeated National League North leaders Tamworth 1-0 on Saturday (14 October) to make it back-to-back first-round appearances, after hosting Cambridge United at this stage last season.

Should Craig Mahon’s side make it past their first-round opponents they would equal their best-ever FA Cup run after reaching the second round on two occasions, firstly in the 2008-09 season and secondly back in the 2016-17 campaign.
