Curzon sign Sheffield United midfielder on loan

Curzon Ashton have secured the services of Sheffield United Under-23s midfielder George Broadbent on loan.

Broadbent is described as a powerful central midfielder who likes to get on the ball and dictate the game.

He joined the Blades from Manchester United and has become a regular within the Under-23s, as well as also training with Chris Wilder's first-team squad.

The Nash confirmed the signing on Twitter on Tuesday morning.

They also revealed that Broadbent used to play for Curzon when he was a young lad!

He could make his debut for Mark Bradshaw's side in Saturday's crucial game against Kettering Town, who are directly above Curzon in the table, at Latimer Park.

Curzon currently sit 18th in the National League North table with 28 points from as many league games and are five points above the relegation zone.
