Curzon discover potential FA Cup opponents

Curzon Ashton have been handed a home tie in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round, which will see them welcome either Worksop Town or King's Lynn Town to the Tameside Stadium.

After both sides played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday, a replay will take place tomorrow night to decide who takes on the Nash in the next round.

While on paper, Worksop would seem to be the more favourable tie for Craig Mahon's side, by no means would it be an easy one.

Though the Tigers play their football in the division below, the NPL Premier Division, they currently sit second in the table and have won seven league matches on the bounce, including an 8-0 thrashing of Matlock Town.

The alternative would see Curzon face off against former boss Adam Lakeland, who left for the Linnets midway through the last campaign.

The Nash got the better of their National League North counterparts in their last league meeting, coming away from Norfolk with a 2-0 win earlier this month.

All Fourth Qualifying Round ties will take place on Saturday October 12.
