Curzon Ashton's Will Hayhurst named Player of the Month

Curzon Ashton winger Will Hayhurst has been named as the Vanarama National League North's Player of the Month for August.

The 29-year-old has four goals and two assists to his name already this season and has been central to Curzon's flying start to 2023/24, who were unbeaten after six games before last week's defeat at home to Tamworth.

His most recent goal came in a 4-1 thrashing of Warrington Town away from home, where he got a brace on the day.

The former Preston man will be looking to build on his terrific performances across the next few weeks, starting with a home tie against Chorley, on Saturday.
