Celtic reveal End of Season Awards winners

Stalybridge Celtic held their End of Season Awards on Twitter on Monday evening.

For obvious reasons, the club were unable to host an actual function and therefore decided on revealing the winners via their social media platform.

Simon Haworth's side were enjoying life in the BetVictor Premier Division this season, sitting 12th when the season was ended prematurely due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Haworth joined the club in the May 2018 and guided his side to safety on the last day of the season, before recruiting a strong squad last summer and embarking on a promising campaign in what marked Celtic's third consecutive season at step seven.

The former Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic striker was rewarded with a two-year contract extension at the beginning of March and will continue to oversee first team and Academy matters. It has since been announced that Haworth will be joined in the dugout next season by Ian Johnson, who joins from Marine, having been First-Team Coach at the club under Neil Young since May 2018. The 37-year-old played alongside Haworth during their time at Wigan in 2001.

We spoke to Haworth at the time of his contract extension to get his thoughts.

Here were the award winners on the evening:
