Celtic manager Haworth strengthens squad

Stalybridge Celtic manager Simon Haworth has continued to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Kallum Mantack has re-signed with the club for another season.

Kallum initially joined Celtic in August 2019 and went on to make 37 appearances in his debut season at the club.

The 22-year-old showed his versatility last season, playing in numerous positions on both sides of the pitch and not necessarily in his most comfortable position.

Kallum lists Oldham Athletic, Alfreton Town, Altrincham, Ashton United and Curzon Ashton as previous clubs but will be back at Celtic for the 2020/21 season.

Meanwhile, Krisel Prifti joins the club following a spell at Trafford and has previously played professionally for KF Apolonia, KF Luzi United and KF Himara in Albania.

Mike Burke, a forward, arrives from Staveley Miners Welfare.

Mike has had a prolific season for the Northern Counties East League side, scoring 21 goals in 21 games in all competitions last season, helping Staveley to top spot in the Premier Division.

Goalkeeper Tom Stewart joins from Ramsbottom United.

The 24-year-old will link up with Celtic after an impressive season for Ramsbottom where he picked up the Chairman’s Player of the Year.

Tom kept eight clean sheets in 30 league games as he helped The Rams to 2nd in the Northern Premier League Division One North West.

And striker Kyle Hawley has also penned a deal with the club following his departure from Morecambe.

The 20-year-old forward joins Celtic following the expiry of his contract with League Two side Morecambe.

Originally from Oldham, Kyle started his career at Morecambe and was awarded a professional contract in May 2018 after picking up the Academy 2nd Year Player of the Year Award during the previous season.

He made his first-team debut coming off the bench in a 3-1 defeat away at Cheltenham Town in April 2019.
