Celtic Designate Lancaster Game As #HerGameToo Fixture

Stalybridge Celtic's home fixture against Lancaster City on Saturday 16 April has been designated as the #HerGameToo fixture.

The initiative was set up by a small group of female fans to try and end sexism in football and make going to football a safe environment for women and girls.

#HerGameToo has been endorsed by former Arsenal and England Women's player, Alex Scott MBE.

Commenting on the initiative, the former right-back said: "I want people - boys and girls - to be sat at home watching me alongside the likes of Rio Ferdinand or Frank Lampard, thinking that it's normal, that we all know what we're talking about, and that they're not judging me at home just because I'm a female."

Reporter Sport will be at the fixture on Saturday, which is now a 12.30pm kick-off. If you're a female and would like to offer your thoughts for our video feature, contact mark.philip@questmedianetwork.co.uk
