Brad Maintains Unbeaten Run With Powerful Display In Newcastle

Highly rated boxer Brad Rea put on another powerful display at the weekend to take his professional record to 13-0.

Rea, who trains at Hatton's Gym in Hyde, beat Lukasz Ndafoluma with a points victory on the undercard of Savannah Marshall's WBO middleweight world title defence against Femke Hermans.

The 24-year-old middleweight entered the ring brimming with confidence, having put on a sensational display with a first round knockout over Craig McCarthy on the undercard of Amir Khan v Kell Brook in February.

Although Saturday's clash against the Namibian wasn't as comfortable as his previous bout, Rea proved his worth to earn a 78-73 verdict over the eight rounds. The hot-prospect, who is trained by Blain Younis, knocked down the 36-year-old in the fourth round and maintained his dominance thereafter to secure another win and further highlight his capabilities in the boxing world.

Speaking to Sky Sports following the win, Rea said: "It was a tough fight with a tough man who was obviously very experienced and been in there at good level" Rea said.

"I thought I coped with him quite well, I thought I won every round and I felt good in there. It maybe wasn't as exciting as my last two fights, but I got the win at the end of the day."

"I got a slight hand injury early on and had to change my gameplan slightly, but we got the win at the end of the day and I felt I won comfortably."
