Audenshaw's sporting aces

Audenshaw School's rugby and football teams have impressed recently.

The Under 12 football team began their nine-a-side campaign with a 7-0 victory over St Thomas More. 17 boys took part in the game and despite a number of notable performances, E Hastie scooped the Man of the Match award.

Elsewhere, the rugby teams enjoyed a clean sweep of results against Altrincham at the weekend. U12 40-15;  U13 65-10;  U15 20-17. A statement on the school's twitter page read: "This great start to the season shows how much we are continuing to develop our players and how committed we are to continuing this fine tradition at our school."
