This Saturday sees Ashton United play their final home match of 2024 when they take on Warrington Rylands at Hurst Cross.

Ahead of the clash, the Ashton United Supporter’s Club have come together to organise ‘Ashton Day’, to celebrate a year of sporting success in Ashton.

The day will see treble winners Ashton Cricket Club, league winners Ashton Golf Club and Papa John Trophy winners Ashton Rugby Club come together to watch Manchester Premier Cup winners Ashton United in action, in a celebration of the sporting community in the town.

Ahead of the day, Ashton United Supporter’s Club chairman Luke Sayle said:

“This weekend is all about celebrating a superb year of sporting achievements in Ashton Under Lyne.

“With trophies being won across the town, we wanted to recognise the local teams who have been crowned champions in their respective sports.

“With none of the others having a game the week before Christmas, and this being our last home game of 2024, it presented a perfect opportunity to get a group of like-minded winners together and celebrate as one town.

“A huge thank you to all the members of the Official Ashton United Supporter's Club for their generous offer to fund and organise the hospitality for our guests, and we look forward to a fantastic day of celebration!”
