Ashton secure back-to-back victories

Ashton United made it three games unbeaten with a 2-1 victory at Atherton Collieries in the NPL Premier Division on Tuesday night.

The Robins were looking to make it back-to-back victories and did so after a hard fought display at the Skuna Stadium, thanks to goals from Liam Tomsett and Harry Coates either side of Declan Daniels equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

Michael Clegg's side will now be looking to continue their unbeaten run when Bamber Bridge visit Hurst Cross on Saturday. The Robins enter the game in 16th spot, whilst Bamber are currently fourth and eight points below leaders Matlock Town.
