Another local derby in Manchester Premier Cup

Three of our local sides have discovered who they will face in the quarter-finals of the Manchester Premier Cup.

Droylsden will welcome last season's runners-up Mossley to the Butchers Arms for a derby clash.

The Bloods beat Ashton United 1-0 on Tuesday night, while the Lilywhites beat Abbey Hey 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Seel Park.

Elsewhere, Hyde United will face FC United of Manchester at Ewen Fields for what promises to be an exciting match.

The Tigers saw off Glossop North End 4-1 in their first-round tie earlier this week.

The final last-eight encounter sees Irlam take on Maine Road.

The ties are scheduled to be played in the week commencing Monday 11 November, with exact dates to be confirmed in due course.
