Aces discover playoff opponents

The Belle Vue ‘BikeRight Aces’ will face local rivals Sheffield in another classic ‘War of the Roses’ derby following confirmation that the Owlerton outfit are their 2021 Play Off semi-final opponents.

Making the trip across the Pennines on Thursday, September 30 for the first leg, the BikeRight Aces will host the deciding leg set for October 7 at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium.

Tickets for this mouth-watering battle go on online sale at 9:00am on Friday, September 24 and club bosses are already anticipating a bumper crowd for the Manchester fixture.

Belle Vue CEO Adrian Smith said: “We have enjoyed some excellent meetings against Sheffield this season and are thrilled to be facing them once again, this time in the Play Offs.

“We have a couple of weeks to wait before we welcome them back to the National Speedway Stadium, but we are already very much looking forward to it.

“This is a crucial time for the club as we look to end a nearly 30-year wait for a league title, and we would urge fans to turn out in force to support our boys.”

Tickets will be available online at bellevue-speedway.com from 9:00am Friday, September 24.
