A 20-year-old woman has pleaded not guilty to arson after a huge fire broke out in Dovestone Reservoir in July.
Shania Care-Slede, of Market Street, Hyde, appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court via videolink on Friday (August 21, 2026) and denied two charges of arson but admitted a further charge of dangerous driving.
The wildfires, which was declared a major incident, broke out on Saturday, July 11 and was stood down after three weeks.
The provisional trial date for Clare-Slede has been set for May 17, 2027.
