Saddleworth pool is currently closed for essential works.
Oldham Community Leisure, which runs the pool in Uppermill, said it is currently undertaking significant, essential works to the pool.
A statement on OCL’s website said: “These works will ensure the pool is fit for purpose for the community to enjoy for many years to come.
“As with any major project unexpected challenges can arise.
“Unfortunately our contractor has encountered unforeseen complications during this project that have resulted in a delay to the anticipated completion date.
“We are now forecasting a re-opening date at the end of May. We will continue to provide updates as we near that time.
“We fully appreciate the disappointment that such delays bring to all our swimmers and we apologise for the inconvenience caused, however as outlined above, these invasive, extensive repairs are vital to secure the long-term future of the pool.”
