Urgent Appeal To Find Man Who Can Assist Police With Indecency On Metrolink

Officers investigating reports of indecency on Metrolink services across Greater Manchester would like to speak to this man (pictured) urgently, as they believe he could assist with enquiries.

The first incident happened on the Oldham / Rochdale line at around 11.30pm on Friday, April 14 2025. 

The second incident came on a tram travelling between Victoria Station and Deansgate Castlefield between the times of 11.25 and 11.40pm on Saturday, April 15, 2025. 

Constable Carl Kelly from the Transport Unit said: "We are currently investigating two separate incidents of indecency that occurred on Greater Manchester's Metrolink tram network. 

“These incidents are deeply concerning, and we want to reassure the public that we take crimes of this nature incredibly seriously. 

“No piece of information is too small – even details that might seem insignificant could be vital in helping us identify those responsible. Your support is crucial in helping us to continue to keep our transport network safe for everyone who lives and works in Greater Manchester.” 

Anyone who was present on these lines when these incidents took place or has any information are asked to contact police through the ‘Live Chat’ function on the website, through 101 or 999 in an emergency. 

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously using Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. 

Log number 44 15/4/25 is the reference to submit any information relating to the Oldham / Rochdale incident on Friday,  April 14, 2025, and log number 86 of 16/04/2025 for the Victoria Station and Deansgate Castlefield incident.
