Two men have been jailed for over 12 years for a series of violent robberies across Oldham and Manchester city centre.
Samuel Cretu, 21, of Ashton Road in Oldham, was sentenced to six years and two months in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to rob, two counts of assault and one count of conspiracy to commit fraud.
Adi-Ionut Cretu, also 21 of Ashton Road, was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to rob, two counts of assault and one count of conspiracy to commit fraud.
A 15-year-old from Oldham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also given a two-year Youth Rehabilitation Order. This came after he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to rob, two counts of assault and one count of conspiracy to commit fraud.
It followed work carried out by a partnership between Greater Manchester Police's Oldham Town Centre Neighbourhood team and the force's Operation Valiant - a dedicated operation set up to reduce the number of personal robberies across Greater Manchester and keep the community and their belongings safe.
