Two people - including a teenage boy - have been arrested after a car was stolen in Failsworth.
Police were called at around 3am on Thursday morning (17 February) to a report that a car had just been stolen from outside a house in the Glenmore Drive area.
Initial enquiries suggest that the suspects broke into the property, taking car keys before fleeing in the vehicle.
They then returned in an attempt to take a second vehicle from the same address but were met by officers who detained them following a foot chase.
A man aged 20 and a boy aged 15 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody for questioning.
Enquiries are ongoing, GMP has said.
Detective Inspector Rick Arthern, of Oldham's Divisional crime team, said: "This was a great result by the Oldham response policing team, in detaining the suspects. We as a team are dedicated to bringing offenders to justice, making Oldham a safer place to live."
