Three charged following disturbance in Oldham

Three men have been charged following a disturbance in Oldham in which police officers were injured.

Reece Hinton, 27, of Bankfield Drive in Oldham, has been charged with obstructing police.

 Connor Lees, 23, of no fixed abode, has been charged with affray, obstructing police and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

Darren Lees, 29, of HMP Berwyn, has been charged with 11 offences, including affray, assault, four counts of racially aggravated public order, three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, and an attempted assault of an emergency worker. 

They are due to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court today (Friday). 

Police were called to a report of a fight outside a pub on Fircroft Road.

As part of their enquiries, officers attended a property on Bankfield Drive and were assaulted, receiving minor injuries.
